Two teens charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old male following a concert in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police were called to the report of a fight that broke out in the Graham Avenue and Fort Street area, on June 17, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Police reported that the fight escalated and a 14-year-old male stabbed a 17-year-old male multiple times. A 15-year-old female also became involved.

Investigators discovered that after leaving a concert downtown, the victim intervened in a confrontation and was stabbed by the suspect (not believed to have attended the concert).

On arrival police located the 17-year-old male victim suffering from serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries on June 21st.

14-year-old male has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and detained in custody.  

15-year-old female is facing the following charges and released: Assault with a Weapon x 2.
