At around 6:50 p.m. on September 2, officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Kingston Road and Galloway Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from severe injuries. Emergency crews performed life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 67-year-old Robert Dawson of Toronto.

A short time after the incident, officers arrested a woman near the scene. Police have confirmed that Natasha MacCallum, who has no fixed address, has been charged with second-degree murder.

She was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Finch Avenue West the following morning, Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m.
