Toronto Homicide #89 – Yohannes Brhanu dies of a gunshot wound

Toronto police responded to a sound of gunshots radio call 36 Ann Arbour Road area, on November 14th at approximately 12:03am.

Police arrived to find Yohannes Brhanu, 22, in a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. Brhanu was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Detective Sargent. Mike Carbone said at least four firearms were used in the shooting, and that Brhanu was also armed.

Police said it has been reported that Brhanu was parked in the vehicle, with a passenger when a second vehicle approached from the opposite direction. A third vehicle approached and  began to fire multiple gun shots to the drivers side. The second vehicle then began to fire at the third vehicle before it fled the scene.
