Toronto police responded to the report of a stabbing on September 29th at approximately 11:57pm in the area of John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove Road.

Police arrived to find Khalid Jama, 26, of Toronto, in a courtyard suffering from a stab wound. Despite lifesaving efforts from police the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Toronto police announced on October 13th that Salah Abukar, 26, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.

He will appear in court, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 2201 Finch Ave West, room 206, by video.
