Update, Son found not criminally responsible for mothers death: Toronto Homicide #58 – Ninon Hardie dies of severe trauma

Toronto police responded to a call for an unknown trouble on Bathgate Drive on December 6th at approximately 2:17am.

Police arrived at the scene to find Ninon (Nina) Hardie, 72, suffering from severe trauma. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Christopher Hardie, 40, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

Police have not released the cause of death or the relationship between the victim and the accused.

Update November 28th
Christopher Hardie, 40, has been ruled not criminally responsible for killing his 72-year-old mother Ninon Hardie, because his severe schizophrenia symptoms robbed him of his ability to control his actions.
