Toronto police officers responded to an emergency call for service in relation to a medical complaint at 41 Antrim Crescent on September 22nd at approximately 11:05pm.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Edwin McGowan, 52, of Toronto, suffering from serious injuries that were the result of an assault. Despite life-saving efforts, McGowen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have not named any suspects, and the Homicide Squad has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400.
On Friday, September 27, 2019, Peter Wight, 42, of Pickering, was arrested. He has been charged with Second-Degree Murder.
October 2, 2019, Fantasia Hoo-Hing, 32, of Toronto, arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder.
On October 13th 2019, O’Neil Thompson, 35, of Pickering, was arrested by police. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
Update January 30th 2021
Toronto police said on September 30, 2020, Fantasia Hoo-Hing was granted bail by the courts with several conditions.
On January 27th, 2021, Police were alerted that Hoo-Hing was allegedly breaching her terms of release on and is believed to be at large and evading police. A Warrant in the First Instance has been issued for Fail to Comply Release Order. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400.
