Toronto police responded to a call for a stabbing in the Kennedy Road and Antrim Crescent area on September 5, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.

Police arrived to find a 12-year-old girl with stabbing injuries, and she was pronounced deceased inside a residence. Police arrested a young male at the scene and charged them with second-degree-murder.
