Toronto police responded to a shooting call in the Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West area on September 10th at 12:42 a.m.

Police arrived to find Shalldon Samuda,15, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Ellion Brown, 18, of Toronto, was arrested a few days later and changed with:

1. Second Degree Murder

According to the Toronto Star, Brown pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter on Thursday February 22nd. A Toronto judge imposed the five-year prison sentence that was jointly proposed by the prosecution and defence.
