On August 19th Toronto police were called to Black creek in Derrydowns park at around 12:45pm on report of a body.

Police arrived to find 31 year old Virgil Jack without vitals. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Jack’s last known whereabouts was on Friday August 18th at 2:30 pm.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death, however police said “The initial examination shows she received numerous penetrating stab wounds.”

Homicide investigators arrested Nicholas Johnson, 24, of Toronto on January 11th, 2018 and charged him with second degree murder in relation to the death of Virgil Jack.
