Toronto homicide 32 – Update: Adrian Gordon Jr, arrested in Luton, England, in connection to the homicide of Jesse Tubbs

Toronto Police responded to a call for an unknown trouble call in the Isabella Street and Jarvis Street area on May 22, 2024, at approximately 12:18 a.m.

On arrival police located a male victim lying on the ground at the rear of the building with obvious signs of trauma. The victim has been identified as Jesse Tubbs, 30, of Mississauga was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

The Toronto Police Centralized Shooting Response Team and Homicide Unit began an investigation.

As a result of this investigation, a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Adrian Gordon Jr, 24, of Toronto, who is wanted for:

  1. First Degree Murder

He is considered armed, violent, and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Update: On Monday, August 19, 2024, Adrian Gordon Jr was located and arrested in Luton, England. He is being held by authorities in the United Kingdom, pending extradition to Canada, where he will face a charge of First Degree Murder.

According to Thorold Today, In early September 2019, Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit commenced an investigation concerning the alleged trafficking of a female. Investigators said that the female over the age of 18 was trafficked in connection with an area hotel in the City of Niagara Falls. As a result of the investigation, Jessie Tubbs of the City of Mississauga was facing the following alleged charges:

Trafficking in persons (exercising control) 279.01(1) CC
Material benefit 279.02(1)CC
Material benefit from sexual services 286.2(1) CC
Procuring 286.3(1)CC
Withholding documents 279.03(1)CC
