Toronto police officers received a call for the Sounds of Gunshots in the Yonge Street and Wellington Street West area, on May 20th at approximately 9:00pm.
Police arrived at the scene and found Jaiden Jackson 28, of Toronto, suffering from gunshot wounds. Jackson was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police have reported that Jackson left Pick 6, a restaurant and bar with a woman. The pair walked westbound on the north side of Wellington Street West towards his vehicle when a car drove south from Melinda Street and made a left turn, proceeding eastbound on Wellington Street West in the wrong direction. The car then made a u-turn and drove towards the pair.
Two of the suspects got out of the car and began shooting. Jackson ran down a parking lot ramp there the two men followed shooting as well as the driver.
Police have released a video of the shooting in hopes of identifying the three shooters. *This video contains violent content and may not be suitable for all viewers.
