Toronto police responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble at 57 Shanly Street, on May 21st at approximately 7:30pm.
Police arrived to find Valland Spolarich, 43, of Toronto, in an upstairs apartment, suffering from serious injuries. Spolarich was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of death was said to be blunt force trauma.
Herculano Pimentel, 50, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder.
