Toronto Homicide #11 – Jorge Langevin charged with the murder of  Jorge Zapata in North York

Toronto police responded to a possible sudden death in the Grandravine Drive and Futura Drive area on February 10th at 8:36am.

Police arrived to find 59-year-old Jorge Zapata deceased with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced at the scene. Police have not released the cause of death, only saying that it is being investigated as a homicide.

Jorge Langevin, 37, of Toronto has been arrested. As of February 13th, he has been charged with, Aggravated Assault.

On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, his charges were upgraded to Second Degree Murder.
