Toronto police responded to a medical call at the Roycroft Motel located at 3137 Kingston Road on March 6th at approximately 1:00am.
Police arrived at the motel and located Shawn Walters, 39, of no fixed address, with life threatening gunshot injuries. Walters was rushed to hospital where he died on his injuries on March 12th.
Police are requesting anyone with information regarding this incident and anyone who had contact with the victim, between Saturday, March 4, 2023 to Monday, March 6, 2023 to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
Update:
On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, Jahmaal Frederick-Dywer, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested. He has been charged with:
