Update: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team called in for a triple shooting that left two dead in Coquitlam

Coquitlam RCMP responded to a shooting in the area of Dawes Hill Road and Mundy Street at approximately 7:45pm on November 23rd.

 On arrival police located two unresponsive victims inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other victim died in hospital. A third victim was also taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim’s gender and identities have not been released.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team will be working in partnership with the Coquitlam RCMP.

Update November 26th
Investigators have identified one of the victims as 25-year old Ramin Salam of Coquitlam. Investigators are working to confirm the identity of the second victim.

At this time, investigators believe this to be a targeted shooting relating to the ongoing lower mainland gang conflict.
