Police said the body of Dylan Godfrey was located in the Paul Lake area near Kamloops, B.C., on April 25, 2025.

Over the past week, investigators have been working thoroughly to collect evidence and speak with community members in an effort to gather more details surrounding Mr. Godfrey’s death.

Authorities are now appealing to the public for help. They are specifically looking for anyone who was in the North Shore area of Kamloops and may have video or dash cam footage captured between 5 a.m. on April 16 and 10 a.m. on April 22, 2025. Those with relevant information are asked to reach out to the Southeast District Major Crime Unit or visit the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.

“As our team moves closer to understanding how Mr. Godfrey was killed and what happened afterward, we are urging anyone with information to come forward,” said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, who leads the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.
