British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List
Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3200 block of Siskin Drive on January 9, 2026, at approximately 12:38 p.m.
When officers arrived, they secured the area and confirmed the incident was confined to a single residence.
Inside the home, police found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is still in its early stages, with additional police resources brought in to assist. Abbotsford Police confirmed the shooting was a targeted incident connected to the ongoing BC gang conflict and is not believed to be related to extortion.
The Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit has begun transitioning the case to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
