Police responded to a call of a stabbing at around 2:30 a.m, on April 16th at strip mall at the corner of Warman Road and Assiniboine Drive.
Police found a 22 year old man, with life threatening injuries and a second victim, an 18 year old man was treated at a local hospital and released. 22 year old Herman Matthews had undergone emergency surgery, however he died from his injuries at early Saturday morning.

A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Miguel Gomez 20. Gomez is wanted for second degree murder in the stabbing death of an un-named man on April 16th, and two counts of breach of probation.
RCMP were sent to Onion Lake First Nation in the afternoon on April 15th on report of an injured man. The unnamed man was air lifted to a Saskatchewan hospital where he died of his injuries on April 16th.
Louis Carson Pipe from Kehewin Alberta, was arrested and originally charged with aggravated assault. Pipe’s charged was upgraded to second degree murder when the victim died Saturday April 16th.
Police said the victim and Louis Carson Pipe are related.
On March 30th, Saskatoon police were called to an apartment on Avenue O South on report of an injured man. When officers arrived they found a 24 year old man suffering from life threatening injuries.
The man was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries on March 31.
Police have not released the name of the victim at the request of the family. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death April 4th.
Adam St. Denis has been identified as the victim. Police still have not released St. Denis’ cause of death.
Andre Aubertin, 56, was found seriously injured in North central Regina on March 29th. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Cause of death has not been released.
On March 29th Jerid Cole Azure from Fort Qu’Appelle was charged with second degree murder in connection to the death of Aubertin.
On March 30th, Elwin Goodpipe 33, was charged with second-degree murder after a standoff in North Central Regina.
Goodpipe was charged with manslaughter back in 2006, in the death of Wayne Gerald Friday who was found dead in a wooded area on Muscowpetung First Nation in 2004.
Saskatoon police were called to a home in the 3500 block of Balfour Street on report of an injured woman, just after midnight on March 23.
Police arrived to find the 63 year old woman with life threatening injuries. The woman was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries later that evening.
Kyle Zerr 29, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder. Police believe the accused and the victim were known to each other but did not disclose any relationship.
Regina police responded to a call of an injured man, at the 700 block of Garnet St. in the North Central area on February 22.
Police found Joshua Michael Harden 26, outside suffering from some unknown trauma. Harden was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead later in the day.
Four people have been accused and are facing second degree murder charges, including Skylar Blue Alexson, 22, and three boys, ages 14, 15 and 17.
Police were called to a residence in the community of Pelican Narrows on February 12th where they found Cecil Dorion 21,with apparent stab wounds.
He was rushed to a local health centre where he died shortly after arrival. Police have charged a 22 year old man with second degree murder.
RCMP were called to the village of Kinley on January 24th. Officers found Beverly Littlecrow, 36, who was brought to hospital in Saskatoon where she was pronounced dead. RCMP said that after an investigation the death was considered to be suspicious.
On January 25th a man calling himself “Gab” wrote on Littlecrow’s Facebook page, saying he was her boyfriend and that he was destroyed by death. RCMP said Gabriel Faucher 44, was arrested in Saskatoon on February 2nd and charged with second degree murder.
On January 29 police received a call reporting an unresponsive infant at around 8am. The baby girl was rushed to hospital where she died.
An autopsy was conducted and investigators believe the baby was asphyxiated.
Saskatoon police arrested the 27 year old man, and charged him with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and failure to provide the necessities of life.
Two teachers and two teenagers were gunned down January 23 in La Loche. A 17 year boy old is in custody facing four charges of first degree murder.
Brothers Dayne and Drayden Fontaine, aged 17 and 13, were found shot their home. Marie Janvier 21, daughter of the acting mayor worked as a T.A in the high school, died when the shooter entered the school and opened fire. Teacher Adam Wood 35, was also shot and died in the health centre.
Many others were wounded in the shooting. The nightmare lasted 15 minutes before RCMP officers arrived and were able to subdue the teen shooter.
Update May 11th
The shooter, who killed four and injured seven, won’t be eligible for parole for 10 years. Judge Janet McIvor called the shootings “senseless” and “coldly horrific.”
