Update: Dylan Gill, Toronto’s second homicide of 2017

Police said Dylan Gill 24, was shot in the head while in a vehicle as a passenger at around 1am on January 23rd.  Police said Gill was with two others in the vehicle when shots were fired in the Islington and Milady road.

Gill was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The other two people in the vehicle were left unharmed.

Charges laid in the homicide of Matthew Perry

London Police responded to a call of medical distress on January 6th at around 5:00 pm at 446 King Street. Police arrived to find Matthew Perry 24 severely injured outside the apartment building.

Perry was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A second victim was found in the 4th floor apartment but was expected to survive.

Autopsy reports revealed the Perry’s injuries were sustained from a fall from height.

Three people, William Tombs, 41, David George, 37, and Allan Baptiste, 47, have been charged with manslaughter as well Forcible Confinement, assault, and kidnapping (the second victim).

Five other people Clayton More, 34, Tabitha Williams, 35, Amanda Onstad, 28, Justin Christensen, 28, and Bradley Smith, 35 have been charged with two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of assault, and one count of kidnapping (the second victim)

Update – Toronto’s first homicide of 2017: Man dies after being shot in Moss Park

Toronto police were called to the area of Queen St. E. and Sherbourne St on January 8th at around 7:45 am on report of a shooting.

Police found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Although the victim has been identified his name will not be released until next of kin is identified.

Update January 9

Toronto police have identified the victim as Anthony Earl Smith 41.

Toronto Homicide #69: Michael Jacobson dies from a stab wound

Toronto police responded to report of a stabbing at 200 Sherbourne Street on December 24th at around 2:20pm.

Police arrived at the apartment building to find 48 year old Michael Jacobson suffering from a stab wound in the hallway of the building.

Jacobson was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Update: Chad Robinson stabbed to death in London Ontario

London police responded to calls of a disturbance at the Imperio Banquet Hall at 109 Falcon Street, just after midnight on December 18th.

Police arrived to find Chad Robinson 26, of Guelph Ontario unresponsive suffering from a stab wound. Ems rushed Robinson to hospital where he died of his injuries.

According to London Police media release four men have been charged with assault causing bodily harm, in relation to a second victim who did not die from their injuries. The four men are Miguel Chacon-Perez, 27, Irvin Aparicio Chicas, 26, Samuel Aparicio, 25, and Octavio Merino, 25, all from of London.

There has been no word on what charges these men face in the death of Chad Robinson at this time.

The death of Chad Robinson is the 4th homicide for London in 2016. Links to previous victims can be found below.

Update December 21

Miguel Chacon-Perez 27, has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Chad Robinson.

Toronto Homicide 68: Faysal Mohamed Hees

Toronto Police responded to a medical call at 2067 Islington ave on December 19th at around 9am. Police arrived to find a man in medical distress, suffering from life threatening injuries.

Police first had the death listed as suspicious, and at around 7pm the Toronto Homicide Squad took over.

The name of the victim and the cause of death has not been released at this time.

The victim has been identified as Faysal Mohamed Hees 26.

Toronto Homicide #67: Kareem Hastings found dead

Toronto police responded to a medical complaint on December 17th at around 2:45 pm at 2089 Lawrence Ave West.

Police arrive to find Kareem Hastings, 22, in the stairwell of the building, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the shooting happened just after midnight on December 17th, and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477)

Update Ottawa Homicide 23 & 24: Asma A-Noor and Nasiba A-Noor found dead in Ottawa

Ottawa Police responded to a call of two women found dead in a home in the area of McCarthy Road and Paul Anka Dr on December 16th at around.

Police said the victim’s are ages 29 and 32, however their names and cause of death will not be released at this time.

Ottawa police have a suspect in custody.

Update December 18th

Musab A-Noor 29, has been charged with first and second degree murder in the deaths of Asma A-Noor, 32, and Nasiba A-Noor, 29. Police said both women died of stab wounds.

Toronto’s 66th Homicide: Sarah Vermelhudo dies from a stab wound

Toronto Police were called to the area of College st, and Dufferin on December 16 at around 8pm on report of a person with a knife.

Police found two female victims, and both were rushed to hospital. The first victim was treated and expected to recover, and the second victim Sarah Vermelhudo 38, was pronounced dead.

Police are looking for 21 year old Shayne MacDonald of Toronto. MacDonald is wanted for second degree murder and attempted murder. He is described as 5’10”, 160 lbs.,  and light-brown hair.
