Abbotsford police responded to report of an injured man in the intersection of Simpson and Ross roads around 3:30pm on November 12th.
Police arrived at the scene to find people performing CPR on 19-year-old Jagvir Malhi, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Malhi was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Abbotsford Police received a report of a shooting at a residence in the 2000-block of Wilerose Street on August 4, 2018 at approximately 11:30 p.m.
Police arrived at the scene to find two victims, 19-year-old Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal and another male with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to hospital where Dhaliwal died of his injuries.
Dhaliwal was known to police and investigators believe this was a targeted incident.

Abbotsford Police attended the home of Sukhpreet Grewal, 32, on July 20th, after his family reported him missing.
Police arrived to find Grewal dead. Police said his death is a homicide and that Grewal was known to police.

IHIT is working closely with the Abbotsford police after a man dies in hospital after being shot on Canada day.
Police were called to the 2500-block of Birch Street, on July 1st at approximately 6:14pm on report of a shooting. Police and paramedics found the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was sent to hospital where he died of his injuries on July 2nd. Police have not released the identity of the victim.
One man was arrested in regards to the investigation, but has since been released. No charges have been laid at this time.
Abbotsford Police Department received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Ridgeview Drive and Promontory Court on January 19th at approximately 6:30pm.
Police arrived to find Lovepreet Singh Dhaliwal 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. Dhaliwal was pronounced dead at the scene.
A black Acura TL (see attached stock photograph) was identified leaving the scene immediately after the shooting. Police said a vehicle matching the same description was found burnt out in Langley.

Abbotsford’s emergency services responded to the area of Bates Road and Harris Road on report of a possible shooting on December 28th at 2:23pm.
On arrival police located the victim who was later identified as 24 year old Alexander Blanarou. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

BC Ambulance Service and Abbotsford Police were called to a suspicious circumstance at an apartment complex in the 33000 block of Braun Ave.
Police located the victim, Clarence John Crothers 62, inside one of the units. Crothers was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death has not been released, investigators have only said the cause of death is consistent with a homicide.

Update August 15th
Jeffrey Charles Halicki 50 has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Clarence John Crothers. Police said Halicki and Crothers were known to each-other, and that the homicide was not random.
Police found 18 year old Jaspreet Sidhu on Friday August 4th at approximately 3:20pm, after he was shot and crashed his car through a fence and into an Abbotsford woman’s home on in the 32000 block of Oriole Crescent.
Sidhu was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police said they believe the shooting was targeted, and that Sidhu was affiliated with gang activity.
One male suspect seen fleeing the scene and has been described as 5’11”, medium build, black pants, black hood w/ hood up and sunglasses.
Abbotsford police responded to report of a suspicious circumstance at a home in the 2300 block of Cameron Cres, on May 31 at 1:45am.
Abbotsford patrol division rived at the home to find a deceased male. The Victim has not been identified, and police have no suspects at this time.

Update June 7th
The victim has been identified as Nektarios (Nektar) Pardalis, 41.
Abbotsford had gone 68 days without a homicide. The homicide previous was Jaskarn Lally, on March 24th.
Abbotsford police were called to the 3500-block of Chase Street at about 4:30pm on March 24th on report of a shooting.
The victim, Jaskarn Lally 20, was found dead at his home. Cpl. Meghan Foster said in a news release “This outcome is another example of the risks associated with gang life, and those involved are not protected from the dangers of it.”
Police said they believe the shooting occurred at approximately 2:30pm, when a black Ford F150 truck was seen fleeing the scene.
