Creston RCMP responded to the report of a deceased woman at a home on on Connel Road in Erickson, on February 6th.

Sergeant Chris Manseau, BC RCMP said “Although initially believed to be a natural death, investigators worked tirelessly on this matter, and have since determined it to be a homicide.”

Police have not released the victim’s identity or the cause of death. As a result of the investigation police have arrested 63-year-old Creston resident, Mitchell McIntyre, and charged him with murder.

No further information will be released as the matter is now before the courts.
