RCMP were called to a home on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation on report of a shooting on September 24th. Police found a 27 year old man who had been shot, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On September 25th as police were conducting the investigation, they found a 30 year old man who was suspected to be involved with the homicide dead in a wooded area of a gunshot wound.

Police said the two men were known to each other. Their names will not be released.
