Calgary police said Chelsea Davidenas, 29, was last seen on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, and was reported missing by her family on Feb. 27, 2024. Police believe Chelsea was killed hours after her disappearance, however, her remains have not yet been located.
Police have received numerous tips and taken several investigative steps in an attempt to locate Chelsea. Based on the totality of the evidence collected, investigators believe that Chelsea was the victim of a homicide.
Investigators allege Chelsea was lured to a residence located in the 5600 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E., by two men who were known to her. A short time later, it is believed that she was killed inside the same residence.
Although Chelsea’s remains have not yet been located, based on a significant amount of physical and digital evidence that has been collected to date, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, two men were taken into custody.
Steven Aaron ZWICK, 26, of Airdrie, and Paul Joseph RUSHTON, 52, of Calgary, have each been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
It is alleged that Chelsea was targeted because of her history as a sex worker. Investigators do not believe that this case is connected to any other missing persons in Calgary.
It is believed that her remains were removed from the residence on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, and transported in a stolen, dark blue, low-profile, 2001 Honda Civic with white rims to a rural, lightly treed area southeast of Chestermere. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
