Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services responded to an injured toddler at a residence in the 100 block of Snowdon Avenue on March 24th.
2.5-year-old Brett White was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police said his injuries were not consistent with the explanation provided by the caregiver. The toddler died in hospital of his injuries on March 26th.
On April 3rd detectives arrested Victoria Reane Thiessen, 20, Brett’s stepmother, and charged her with Manslaughter.
