The 2021 Quebec Homicide Victim List is available here

Emergency crews responded to the report of a fire at a rooming house in the Charlesbourg district on December 8th at approximately 1:00am.

Quebec city police said Stéphane Deschênes and Mario Anctil were both located once the fire was extinguished, and their bodies bore marks of violence. Police said they are investigating their deaths as a double homicide and arson.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
