Redwater RCMP responded to a report of two males with gunshot wounds at the Redwater Hospital on March 11th. Police said the shooting took place at a residence in Sturgeon County, Alta.

Police and paramedics arrived to find two male victims. One victim was rushed to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the second victim Ryan Moffat, 37, was pronounced at the scene.

On March 19, 2021, RCMP arrested 28-year-old Kalum Auger of Edmonton, Alta. Kalum Auger has been charged with Second Degree Murder.

Update April 26th
On April 20th Trevor Jason Freeman, 41, of St. Albert, Alta., was arrested in Edmonton and charged with Second Degree Murder. No other information will be released as the murder is before the courts.
