Saskatoon police were patrolling in the area of 21st Street West and Avenue W South when they were approached by persons traveling in a minivan who reported an injured man inside on December 1st.
Police said 21-year-old Kaylum Tom, was suffering from a gunshot wound inside the vehicle. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing and police are still looking for all three persons of interest who may have information to offer investigators;
Reagan Opoonechaw – DOB 1991/07/05
Kasseigh Opoonechaw – DOB 1998/04/09
Zennen Thomas – DOB 2004/07/08

Update: Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section have charged a previous person of interest, 18-year-old Zennen Thomas, with second degree murder. Zennen Thomas is wanted on warrant and has not been located by authorities.
A second person, a 24 year old woman who was wanted for questioning in connection with the homicide, was also located on the weekend. She was interviewed and released without charges. She is no longer considered a person of interest.
The third person wanted by Police, a 31 year old man, is also no longer considered a person of interest.
