Detectives with the Saskatoon Missing Person Unit and Major Crime Section received information that an injured or deceased person may be at an address in the 400 block of Avenue G South on September 16th.
Police said members of Patrol, Guns and Gangs Unit and Forensic investigators attended to the 400 block where they located human remains inside of a residence.
The home located at 429 Avenue G South had experienced a fire back on August 22nd. Police said during that investigation a live cat was found in the basement, no other occupants were found.
Investigators are working on identifying the deceased. An autopsy is scheduled for September 18th.

Update
The victim has been identified as Eagleson Thomas, 23. His cause of death is not being released at this time.
