Rosemarie Junor died December 16th at Hospital from her wounds. Junor 28,  was at the Shoppers Drug Mart in the underground PATH while on a break from her job December 11th when she was stabbed in the chest by a woman. Her attacker was later named as Rohinie Bisesar.

Bisesar, was arrested on December 15th, after a manhunt the lasted for several days, and charged with second degree murder.

Update June 2026:

More than a decade after a fatal stabbing in downtown Toronto shocked the public, Rohinie Bisesar has been granted an absolute discharge by the Ontario Review Board, ending its supervision over her case.

Bisesar was found not criminally responsible for the 2015 killing of 28-year-old Rosemarie Junor inside a Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto’s PATH network. Medical evidence presented in court showed that Bisesar was suffering from untreated schizophrenia and experiencing a severe psychotic episode at the time of the attack.

In its recent decision, the Review Board concluded that Bisesar no longer poses a significant threat to public safety. The board highlighted her years of progress, noting her insight into her mental illness, her ability to cope with challenges, and her ongoing commitment to treatment and recovery.

The ruling marks the final step in Bisesar’s journey through Ontario’s mental health review system, with the board determining that continued oversight is no longer necessary.
