RCMP responded to an assault at a residence in Berens River First Nation on November 16th at approximately 4:20am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 38-year-old man from Bloodvein First Nation, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released.

Berens River RCMP along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate. More information will be added as it becomes available.
