Richmond RCMP responded to the report of an unresponsive man in a ditch near the 17100 block of Cambie Road, on August 7th at approximately 9:30am.

The victim who has been identified as Christopher Singh, 23, was pronounced at the scene.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages, but they believe the shooting was targeted. No victim information has been released at this time. Mr. Singh was known to police and had suspected involvement in the Lower Mainland gang conflict. Mr. Singh did not have a criminal record.
