Blaine Lake RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive woman outside of her home on Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, on January 13th at approximately 12:50pm.

Police arrived to find EMS on scene. The victim, 56-year-old Joanne Wolfe-Lafond was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy was completed on January 16th deeming the death to be suspicious.

Cause of death has not been released at this time.
