Quebec provincial police say a toddler was found seriously injured at a home daycare this week. The 18-month-old boy later died in hospital.

Police said the suspect, from Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Que., was arrested on December 8th. According to reports the death is being investigated as a homicide. A publication ban has been placed on the boy’s identity.

The case of death has not been released at this time.

Tomy Carranza Ladry, 34, was charged with second-degree murder.
