Province wide Warrant for the arrest of Jordan Martin Cushnie has been issued

EPS Southwest Division patrol officers responded to a 911 call for assistance at a shopping complex near 111 Street and Whitemud Drive, on April 17th at 10:25am.

It was reported that Jordan Martin Cushnie, 23, attempted to steal from a  store, when 61 year old employee of a nearby business, Ian Armstrong intervened. Cushnie allegedly attacked Armstrong, before fleeing the scene on foot. Ian Armstrong was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries on Friday, April 20, 2018.

Police have issued a Province wide warrant for the arrest of Jordan Martin Cushnie for second degree murder in relation to the death of Armstrong. Cushnie is described as 5’9” tall and 135 lbs with short brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about Cushnie’s whereabouts is urged to not approach him and contact the EPS immediately at 780-423-4567
