Prince Albert police responded to a weapons complaint in the 100 Block of River Street West on May 28th at around 11:00pm.
On arrival police located a 47-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to Victoria Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have not released his cause of death or identity at this time.
Update June 3rd
Prince Albert police have identified the victim as Barry Pruden, 47. On June 1st, police arrested a 15-year-old male youth from Prince Albert in connection with the homicide and charged him with second-degree murder.
Update November 29th
On November 28, 2022, investigators with the Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested a second 15-year-old male youth from Prince Albert, and charged him with second degree murder.
