Edson RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a hotel on November 11th. EMS personnel were already treating Preston William Goulet 42, when police arrived.  Goblet was transferred to hospital where he died later that day.

Christopher Harrison 37, was initially charged with aggravated assault has now been charged with second-degree murder.
