Police make arrest in Kelowna suspicious death of Matthew Cholette

Kelowna police responded to the report of a disturbance in the 1700-block of Highway 33 on December 13th at approximately 9:15pm.

Police arrived to find a 27-year-old Matthew Cholette deceased in the parking lot of a subsidized housing development at 1749 Highway 33. Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP. “This tragic incident appears to be isolated in nature, and we do not believe there is a threat to the general public.”

RCMP said charges have yet to be laid against the person arrested, and Kelowna’s major crime unit has taken over the investigation.
