Winnipeg police responded to the report of an injured man in a residence in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue on October 21st at approximately 4:45am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Dennis Tougas Beardy, 20 deceased. The cause of death has not been made public at this time.
Update October 29th
Winnipeg police have arrested Sidney Sheldon Rene Racette, 35, and charged him with:
– Second Degree Murder
– Assault Peace Officer x 2
– Disarm Peace Officer
– Resist Peace Officer
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order
