The Crown says it will seek adult sentences in the case of two 16-year-old boys charged with the first-degree murder of Hannah Leflar, 16 .
That will mean longer sentences if the teens charged in Regina’s first homicide of 2015 are convicted.
Leflar, 16, was found dead in her Regina home Jan. 12. Two teens, also 16, were later arrested and charged by Regina police. Their names can not be publicized because of their age.

Skylar Prockner, 19, Leflar’s ex boyfriend who was 16 at the time of the murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment with no eligibility for parole for 10 years.
Roxanne Louie, who moved to Vancouver from Oliver, was visiting the south Okanagan for the holidays. A family member reported her missing after she missed her flight from Penticton back to Vancouver, said RCMP in a news release.
Louie, 26, was last seen leaving her mother-in-law’s home early on Jan. 4 on her way to meet some unknown friends.
Police confirmed Monday Jan. 12th that Grace Elinor Robotti, 65, has been charged with second-degree murder, and her brother, Pier Louis Robotti, 63, has been charged with being an accessory to murder and interfering with human remains.
A St. John’s man was stabbed to death allegedly by his co-worker on Jan 11th, 2015, inside a minivan that was transporting them both to work.
Raymond Stacey, 23, appeared in St. John’s provincial court Monday where he was charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Clifford Comerford.

The two bodies found in the trunk of a pickup truck Jan 10th in Mascouche are indeed those of Nancy Beaulieu 41, and Martin Belair 37 years, manager and co-owner of Flamingo Cabaret Saint-Hyacinthe.

Toronto police issued a news release advising that Roderick McIntosh , 67, of Toronto had been charged in the death of Brent Gartner. McIntosh was the injured man found near the scene of the stabbing on Jan 10th.
Police were called to an apartment at 330 Jarvis St. on Saturday evening, where they found the 51-year-old Gartner suffering from multiple stab and slash wounds.
Gartner was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The body of the 25 year old man was found inside the Fort McMurray home on Jan 9th. The two other men that lived in the house were away at the time of the fire.
Investigators have ruled the death of the man a homicide.
Nathan Miller, 20, was shot to death on Jan. 8, after a group of five men entered a house in Hamilton, where Miller was.
A 15-year-old is part of a group charged with first-degree murder in the January shooting death of a Toronto man.
The Hamilton teen cannot be named, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder,after a takedown near Main and Sanford streets June 17th.
Shamoiey Akindejoye, 21, from Mississauga, is charged with first-degree murder.

Two seniors are dead in what police believe is a murder-suicide in the Hamlet of Entwistle.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Jan 7th, Evansburg RCMP were asked to check on a woman’s elderly parents at their Entwistle home. Inside the residence, officers found the couple, both aged 73, deceased. The pair died of apparent gunshot wounds.
There was no sign of forced entry and the residence was secured from the inside, this lead police to believe this incident was a murder suicide.
The name of the couple is not being released at the family’s request.

Codey Reginald Hennigar, 30, of Wyses Corner, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 74-year-old Ida Raye Ward. He also faces two other charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of Clifford William Ward, 81, and Mildred Ann Ward, 54, both from Wyses Corner.
Officers discovered Brenda Walker’s body at a residence in the 100 block of Sixth Avenue around 1 a.m Jan. 6th just minutes after she called 911 for help.
