Chad Cote found dead on Cote First Nation

Chad cote was found dead on February 20th 2016 by police in a home on the Cote First Nation.

Chester Whitehawk has been arrested and is facing charged in the death of Cote.

Update April 2017
Chester Whitehawk has been convicted of the second degree murder death of Chad Cote. Cote died of blunt force trauma and multiple stab wounds.

Joshua Michael Harden, Regina’s first homicide of 2016

Regina police responded to a call of an injured man,  at  the 700 block of Garnet St. in the North Central area on February 22.

Police found Joshua Michael Harden 26, outside suffering from some unknown trauma. Harden was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead later in the day.

Four people have been accused and are facing second degree murder charges, including Skylar Blue Alexson, 22, and three boys, ages 14, 15 and 17.

William John Patterson shot to death in Edmonton

Police were called to the area of Chappelle Drive on reports of gunshots at 2:55 am, on February 21st. On arrival Police found 37 year old William John Patterson severely injured . Patterson was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.

Autopsy results show William John Patterson died from gunshot wounds.

No suspects have been named at this time.


Jessie Dyck charged in the death of Tanya Campbell-Losier

Brooks RCMP and EMS responded to a call of an injured female at a residence in Brooks on February 19th.  19 year old Tanya Campbell-Losier was rushed to a Calgary hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on February 21st.

Jessie Dyck 26, boyfriend of Campbell-Losier, was originally charged with aggravated assault, but the Charge has since been upgraded to manslaughter.

Update charges laid in February homicide: Darren Douglas Sinner died of a gunshot wound

Edmonton Police are asking witnesses to come forward with information regarding a deadly altercation involving a gun that killed 41 year old Darren Douglas Sinner on February 20th.

Police were called to Baccarat Casino at 104 Avenue and 101 Street, near the downtown arena.  When police arrived Sinner was already being transported to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman who assisted Casino Security personnel in administering first aid to Sinner.

Update December 8th
Vaughn Emmanuel Bull 25, and Patrick Vincent Campiou 27, have been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Darren Sinner.

Missing since February 14th, Cooper Nemeth found dead

Police cars and a tactical units could be seen investigating at a home on Bayne Crescent,  near Tu-Pelo Avenue February 20th. Police confirmed that the body found inside was that of Cooper Nemeth 17.

Bayne Cresent is one street away from where Nemeth was at a party hours before he was last seen on February 14th.

It is believed that he was first beaten and then shot.

Nicholas Bell-Wright 22, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

A homeowner who found Nemeth’s body said that he and his wife were watching television when they heard a noise outside at around 8 p.m on February 20th. When they looked outside they saw  two legs sticking out of a dumpster bin and immediately called police.

Roger Parent found dead in his home

RCMP said Roger Parent 70, was found in his home on Soucy Road in Rivière-Verte, on February 13th at around 6:30pm. Investigators thought the death was suspicious, and autopsy proved it to be a homicide.

RCMP, arrested Sylvain Bard 50, at his residence in Edmundston. Bard has been charged with first degree murder.

Hamilton Man Shot and Killed on Mountain Yesterday Afternoon

Hamilton had its fourth homicide of 2016, as a man was shot around 4:30 pm yesterday February 18th, outside a barbershop on Upper Wellington between Queensdale and Brucedale in Ward 7. Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful. Hamilton Police have reported that the man was in his 40’s, but have not released his name pending notification of his next of kin.

With regards to suspects, the police release states: “4 black males were observed running away in various directions following the reports of the shooting taking place.”


Hamilton police have identified the victim as Neil Harris 40, of Hamilton.

UPDATE: Erick Reid 25, and Odain Gardner 23 are facing first degree murder charges in the death of Neil Harris.

Little information on the murder suicide in London

Not much information has been offered in London’s first homicide of 2016. Police were called to check on the welfare of occupants at an apartment on Grand Ave at around 5:30 pm on February 12th. Police found a woman dead in the apartment.

Hours later a man was found dead in a nearby auto garage. Police said the murder suicide was domestic related.

The names are not being released because the family has requested privacy. However neighbours were worried after the garage owner Mahmoud (Michele) Abdulrahim didn’t show up Saturday, could not be found.
