Police responded to report of an unresponsive man at a homeTenth Street in Collingwood, on March 17th.

25-year-old Sam Bowyer was found unresponsive and later pronounced deceased at scene.  Police said the investigation revealed that Bowyer died as a result of an opioid overdose.

On June 13th it was reported that Shawn Brock, 47-years-old, and Amber Knudsen, 26-years-old, both from Collingwood have been charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death, and trafficking heroin.
