Update, Two Ottawa Men Charged – OPP investigate the homicide of David Tobin in Rockland Ontario

Russell County OPP and the force’s criminal investigation branch are investigating a homicide that happened July 23rd on Lemay Circle in Rockland.

Detective Inspector Brad Collins said 42-year-old David Tobin was found deceased, and another male was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe there is any risk to the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 1-888-310-1122.

Update August 12th
Hassan Dahis, 20, and Mohammed Moussa, 19, both from Ottawa, were arrested on August 12th, and each charged with one count of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Update May 13th 2022,
OPP announced that a 26-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder and with failing to comply with release conditions.

Update May 27th, 2022
OPP announced that they have charged a 21-year-old Oshawa man with accessory after the fact to murder. The man will remain in custody and is scheduled to appear at a court in Lindsay, Ont. on June 23rd. A 76-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both of Ajax, were charged with two counts each of party to the offence of failing to comply with release conditions. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 23rd.
