Wellington County OPP responded to a check on wellbeing of a person at Maple Leaf Acres mobile home park on July 1st at approximately 11:20am.
Police arrived at the mobile home on Poplar Place to find a deceased male. The victim’s identity has not been released, nor has the cause of death. Police have confirmed the death is a homicide.
Police said the investigation is in it’s early stages, and they have taken a suspect into custody. More information will e added as it becomes available.

Update July 4th
Police have identified the victim as Giorgio “George” Gemin, 74. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Kyle John George Gemin, 31, and charged with first-degree murder. The relationship between the deceased and the accused has not been revealed.
