Ontario Provincial Police announced that two of three deaths following a house fire in the Town of New Tecumseth are now considered homicides.

OPP originally responded to a wellness check on December 26th, and when they arrived the home was on fire. Three people were located in the home, 48-year-old Adrienne Nesich and Matteo Nesich, 9, were pronounced deceased. The third person, 45-year-old Christopher Nesich was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Investigators said the cause of death was not due to the fire at the residence.

A Gofundme campaign has been created to aid with funeral expenses and financial aid to assist with housing arrangements for the other residents.
