Toni Dalipi killed in a Burnaby shooting that occurred outside of a Vape Store

Emergency crews responded to the report of a shooting at 6th Street between 12th and 13th Avenue on May 8th at approximately 7:00pm.

According to reports multiple shots outside a martial arts studio around 7 p.m., and a man in his 20’s was shot multiple times. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

A video that is circulating on Twitter shows kids on bicycles and scooters a very short distance from where the shooting was in progress.

Update May 10
20-year-old Ahmed Tahir was arrested on May 9th and charged with the murder of Toni Dalipi, 19. Supt. Dave Chauhan, head of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team also noted that a second man, who “just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time” made his way to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

A Go Fund Me page has been created in memory of Toni Dalipi to raise money for funeral costs.
