Elizabeth Poulin, 87, was found deceased inside her apartment near Kingsway and Kerr Street on Nov. 24, 2018. The cause of death has not been released.

Police said 23-year-old Nicholas Dwayne Wallace was arrested two days after Poulin’s body was discovered and was charged with second-degree murder.

On December 5th 2019 Wallace pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter, and on February 28th Supreme Court judge handed down his sentence of 18 years in prison.
