Nathan Waditaka charged with the murder of Zellall Highway, and sexual assault for allegedly attacking a 17-year-old girl in Prince Albert.

Prince Albert RCMP received a report of an injured 17-year-old female at the Wahpeton Dakota Nation Health Centre just after 12:00am on December 26th.

Police determined the injuries of the female were the result of an assault and went to the residence on the Wahpeton Dakota Nation where the assault occurred. On arrival police located Zellall Highway, 19, of the Wahpeton Dakota Nation, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Highway was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Nathan Waditaka, 19, has been charged with Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Sexual Assault.
