Chaleur Region RCMP attended a residence on Highway 134 in Nash Creek in connection with an unrelated matter on November 6th at 10:35am.

Police arrived to find a 39-year-old man, who let the police know that he had just shot another man. Police then located 39-year-old Scott Devereaux, from Belledune deceased behind a shed on the property.

Police arrested Nathan Meade, 39, and charged him with second degree murder.
