Montreal police responded to a 911 call at the intersection of des Oblats and Wanklyn streets on September 8th at 8:45am.
On arrival police located 29-year-old Gisèle Itale Betondi suffering from multiple stabbing injuries to the upper body in a parking lot outside an apartment building. She was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. She leaves behind three children aged 4, 2 and the last who is only 2 months old.
The victim’s ex-husband, Hosea Amorus Puhya, 50, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
