Mohamed Najdi gunned down in Ottawa

Police were called to reports of a shooting on January 10th after concerned neighbours heard the gunshots and then saw Mohamed Najdi screaming that he had been shot in the back.

Paramedics rushed Najdi to the hospital where he pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Mohamed Najdi 28, was known to police after witnessing the shooting death of Sharif Said in May 2015.

No arrests have been made and police have described it as a targeted, gang-related shooting.

**UPDATE**
Alaa Asiri, 33, Ali Elenezi, 18, Lual Lual, 26, Mohamud Yusuf, 25 and  Mohamed Mohamed 32, have been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
